About
Hotel Reina Cristina
Hotel Reina Cristina sits on Calle Tablas, a quiet street two blocks from Granada’s cathedral. With 89 rooms, it is a mid-sized property that combines traditional Spanish decor with practical amenities: air conditioning, soundproofed rooms, a restaurant, and a bar. The private parking lot (EUR 16 per day) is a notable convenience in a city where street parking is tight.
Guests consistently highlight the location and the staff. The reception team is frequently described as polite and helpful, and the hotel is within easy walking distance of the Albaicín and the Alhambra. The breakfast buffet is small but varied, and the attached cafe offers cheap coffee. It is a straightforward, comfortable base for exploring Granada on foot.

In brief
What works, what to weigh
Strengths
5 reasons to book- Exceptional central location — Two blocks from the cathedral, a short walk to Darro, the Albaicín, and Plaza Nueva, with bus connections to the Alhambra and airport nearby.
- Attentive, friendly staff — Reception and bar staff are repeatedly described as polite, helpful, and professional, going as far as assisting with Alhambra tickets and giving local tips.
- Comfortable, elegant rooms — Rooms are spacious with comfortable beds and old-style Spanish decor, including soundproofing and air conditioning in many.
- Private parking on site — A dedicated lot is available for EUR 16 per day, a perk in Granada where parking is limited.
- Pet-friendly with amenities — Pets are allowed and pet amenities are provided, making it a practical choice for travellers with animals.
Worth weighing
5 to weigh- Rooms and cleanliness score low — The 6/10 rating for rooms and cleanliness suggests guests find some rooms or housekeeping below expectations.
- Dining options are limited — The dining rating is also 6/10, and while the breakfast buffet is varied, it is small with few choices per item.
- Check-in window is strict — Check-in is only from 14:00 to 20:00, which may inconvenience guests arriving later.
- Price for the class — Rates from £82 per night, which some may find high given the 3-star rating and the average area rating of 8.6.
- Potential street noise — Some rooms may face the street, and the central location could bring noise from nearby nightlife.

7.9Verified guest“Everything was good – a magnificent location just off the Alhambra and cathedral, close to all the main sights and local bars and restaurants. The staff were nice, and the room was luxurious and elegant, with a free safe and a good bathroom. I greatly enjoyed being in the historic city center.”
7.9Verified guest“Located in the centre of the city.”
7.9Verified guest“Breakfast has a lot of variety, though it is a small buffet – it’s a buffet, so you can eat as much as you like. Everything I tasted from the restaurant, including breakfast, was absolutely exquisite. I had a couple of small issues (missing minibar and a leaking shower), but reception solved them immediately. The treatment is exquisite, and the staff are very attentive and friendly. We felt at home in the room. The location is great – less than 5 minutes to the cathedral and 10 minutes to the Albaicín. Excellent value for money.”
7.9Verified guest“The rooms are big with comfortable beds. The staff are very kind and extremely great overall.”
7.9Verified guest“We loved how well placed the hotel is – two blocks from the cathedral in a very nice area, and very close to walk everywhere. There’s a cafe in front of it where you can get a good breakfast for 1 euro. The area felt safe, with squares nearby. The staff are very friendly.”
